Jaurez 10-14

Aight yall where do i even start. So the last night in the ccm was rough because my distict was so tight. I stayed up till 2 playing rook, i got a perfect game, 200 pts, btw, and then said goodbye to the cancun peeps. Then it was my turn. We got to juarez and everyone was like depressed, but we went to the president's house, which is like parade of homes nice, and had some good fake mexican food, and then went to a hotel to sleep. I met my new compa in the morning, hes from ecuador and is actually an amazing missionary. I'm his first son, or trainee tho so its a little rough. Our area has been closed for a while, idk why, so we didn't have any leads or knowledge of the area at all so its been kind of cool to start from scratch. One night we were in a dark alley and a huge dog started shaking a whole garage door and it freaked me out, and the drunk people are like a zoo here, but other than that the people are great. We concact a ton of people every day, but then when the time comes to teach them a lesson they're never home, kinda sucks. We do have one good investigator, he was ready for us when we came, and is very interested, asks good questions and i have faith in him. So its kinda weird because we'll be in a poor neighborhood and then boom, there will be this huge house with razor wire and nice cars, soooo just a thought its probably a narco. One investigator we have happens to live in one of these house lol. He says he works at the tortilleria but I'm thinkin this might be a front. We also saw a lambo our first day so probably a narco lol. Another house had spray paint saying if you come here again you will get your fingers cut off. Theres also electrical wires hanging down everywhere so gotta dodge those. The buses here are also so funny. The only way to expain them is mad max. They have spikes on their rims, huge flood lights, train horns, and crazy exhaust pipes going up the back of the bus. They race each other to get customers so sometimes you think they're gonna hit you lol. 
Anyway I'm gonna use general conference for my spiritual thought this week. I love one of President Nelson's talks that was basically just talking about how great the members are around the world. It was a great reminder that if you are a member, you should be proud of it and never try to hide your light, that's something I wish I would've realized sooner.

Hey yall not too much time but my new area is huge and we have this little town 30 minutes outside the city that I can see New Mexico from haha. My new companion is a really hard worker and we get along really well. I live in a house separated in two parts so there's really four missionaries there so that's really fun. There's a bunch of work here, we have like six baptismal dates. I went back to Del Real on saturday to dunk one of my oldest investigators. aight lol this was a v interesting week. First i got my new companion who is sooooo funny. Hes this chubby lil dude that deep fries everything he eats and then never does the dishes hahaha. Some members gave me a big picture of some indian dude in mexico city carrying a woman so im big culture now!! I love mexico bc they shut off our gas even tho we payed our bill so the members recommended just cutting off the padlock on the meter and so we did and now we have gas lol, cant do that in america. I also took a quick vacation to mexico city for my green card, it was super fun to go with my compa from the mtc and we met up with my friends in cancun. I threw away the super important paper that nobody told me to keep so that was almost a problem but a dude from the mtc came and gave me a new one. Semana 12 - November 18, 2019

Aight yall one transfer in the field over with! Kinda sad because me and my companion finally clicked this week and had a ton of fun but now he's going home to ecuador. I had to give a talk in sacrament meeting lol so that was funny. We can't go out too much because my compa isn't allowed to be in the sun after his surgery so we chill in the house and listen to our neighbors blast banda all day. I went to the temple with my ward which includes my first convert and two other recent converts. My compa went to a session with the mish pres so i was just like a dad explaining everything to my three sons haha. Kinda sad because one of my investigators that was really into the church, going on sundays, reading the BOM all that good stuff got a new job a couple weeks ago that didn't let him go to church anymore, He stopped reading the BOM and then lost his job, he now thinks its because he didn't put the Lord first but i feel bad bc he's having a real rough time rn.
